Christmas Night Snowstorm...

It started to snow on Christmas night. It was snowin and blowin and this is what we ended up with. Guess we won't be out on the deck for a few days...

Christmas Day 2008...

As is our tradition, when the kids finally go to bed on Christmas night, which was about midnight, Vangee and I sit down by the fire with some fake Sparkling Cataba and open our gifts to each other...it's a fun tradition that makes the excitement of Christmas last all day and all night long...

Vangee got some beautiful hoop earrings from Santa...

Dad asked for new Sketchers...wow...

Christmas Day 2008...

Vangee, being sick of the University of Utah/BYU rivalry that seems to go on in this family, decided to ask Santa for her Alma Mater's football shirt. Santa delivered this Weber State Football shirt. She's so happy...

Christmas Day 2008...

As you can see Dad and Ian are not the best wrappers in the business. Like they say, "It's the thought that counts!"

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Ashten was "Rockin' around the Christmas Tree" this morning while she decorated the tree! They did a great job and both Ian and Ashten are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Larry the Elf on Monday afternoon...hope he comes!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Ian needed a little help getting the decorations all the way to the top! He wanted to do it like Buddy in "Elf" and jump off the couch and bear hug the tree. Ashten held on so he wouldn't crash into the tree.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

The tree is done, decorated by Ashten and Ian. It's the Saturday after Thanksgiving and we spent this morning getting the tree ready. Ian just has to do the train around the bottom and it will be complete! Wow, it's spectacular!

The Girl's Volleyball Tournament

The girls from the ward went to the Region Volleyball Tournament where they took 3rd place! Ashten's getting ready to send the ball back over the net!

Halloween Birthdays

Grandpa's birthday was on Halloween, too. So, we celebrated his 83rd birthday with Lance and Chris. Ian helped blow out the "candle".

Halloween Birthdays

We celebrated Ashten's birthday...amazing how we found a cake that said, "Happy Birthday Ashten" on it. You can see how old she is now!

Halloween Pumpkins

Incredible Sunrise

We had an incredible sunrise this morning. Ian ran out on the deck and took this beautiful picture.

Ian as Indiana Jones

Ian dressed up like Indiana Jones for Halloween. Here he is at school standing by the class skeleton, Indiana Bones!

Ian's Weather Project

Ian had to create a weather project and he wanted to make a tornado. You can see his tornado is ripping through Iantown leaving all kinds of destruction in it's wake. There are overturned cars, bridge destruction and buildings and trees down all over the city. Great job Ian!

Jr. High Choir Performance

It was choir performance night. It was a very good performance and the young women looked great in their pretty dresses.

Rokenbok Week...

A couple of times a year we tear the house apart and set up the Rokenbok. Vangee went to Enrichment Night and we moved the furniture to make room. We're lucky she's so kind and understanding. Here's Ian building an office and getting the rest of the Rokenbok setup.

Rokenbok Week...

Here's a look at the Rokenbok style living room.

Rokenbok Week...

We attached the chutes to the bannister! The balls come out of the mine (the piano bench) goes down the chutes, through the factory, onto the train, over to the other factory where they're sorted, then into the warehouse!

My "ride" home from Boise...

I called Adam on Tuesday night and he said he was going to Boise on Wednesday. Just so happened I was in Boise on Wednesday. He invited me to fly home with him Wednesday afternoon, so, I cancelled my flight on a Boeing 737 with drink service, crawled into the Mooney and flew home...

Having a Raclette...

We decided to have a Raclette dinner this weekend. We put the grill in the middle of the table, put all the meat on the table and everybody cooks what they want. We had steak, chicken, shrimp, peppers, mushrooms, pineapple, squash, bread, potato and salad. I asked Ian to set the table. You can see he puts all the condiments out...good grub, good times!

Having a Raclette...

Ashten grillin her favorites...chicken and pineapple. This time she put pineapple, lemon juice and butter together in the warming tray. Didn't taste all that bad...

Having a Raclette...

Ian thinks the Raclette is A-OK! You can see he's got the steak and pineapple grillin'...
